Who we are
Atropik is run by Lauren Holmes and Andrea Carel, a London-bred Brazil-based duo with over ten years experience in brand consultancy, communication, journalism and luxury hospitality.
An experienced travel journalist who regularly writes for Conde Nast Traveller, Monocle and Elite Traveller, Lauren Holmes has over 7 years experience within the luxury hospitality industry in Latin America, with a career that has spanned from agency and communications to critic and consultant.
Andrea, a Swede who spent the second part of her life in London working for among others Wolff Olins – the avant garde brand consultancy advising clients such as Skype, London Olympics and AOL.
Together they have advised boutique hotels and restaurants on concept development, created cultural programming for luxury brand events and produced content for lifestyle brands. Atropik concieved and set up the now legendary Casa Fat Radish, Rio de Janeiro’s first pop-up private member’s club, which became the place to be for locals and visitors to connect during the World Cup 2014.
